“Yoga is a gift that I want to share with as many people as I can.
It has enabled me to feel calmer, stronger, and more resilient than ever before.
I feel that yoga is like a pension plan for us all.
Making us more mobile, flexible, and stronger both mentally and physically.
Allowing us to connect with something greater than ourselves, finding spirituality
and a sense of community”.
- Clare Whitehouse
Situated in a stunning location close to Chatsworth and Bakewell, The Cattle Shed, Grindleford will be called “home” for our 3-night yoga & wellness retreat.
This modern house was completed in 2017, to an exceptionally high standard. Converted from old cattle shed this rustic and contemporary luxury home provides a unique setting for complete relaxation and revitalisation in the rural beauty of the Peak District National Park.
The 11 beautifully appointed ensuite rooms can be booked as shared or single occupancy. The large open plan lounge and dining room with spectacular views across the Hope Valley, make it the perfect space to share tasty, health food and make new friends and memories.
Guests can relax in front of a real fire, dine alfresco on the large south facing terrace. There is plenty of space to lose yourself in a quiet corner to read, chat or have a little nap.
Our yoga Shala/space for the stay is large and modern with a high vaulted ceiling. Weather permitting there is loads of outdoor space to practice on the terrace, surrounded by stunning views.
Your hosts for the stay are Clare Whitehouse, Co-Founder of The Yoga Collective. Her teaching experience spans almost 3 decades and her passion for yoga is infectious.
Wendy is a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist who is on a mission to get everyone to ditch boring restrictive diets and fall back in love with real food.
She believes that knowledge is power but understands that there is a huge number of conflicting headlines about food and nutrition. She loves to cut through the headlines and share the facts in a down-to-earth relatable way.
Her other passions are eating and talking - which combine with her weekly podcast ‘are you REALLY going to eat that’ where you get to hear the real and honest version of her, including her love of love pizza and beer! Wendy believes that balance is key, and she wants to help take the fear away from food and dieting and bring back some joy.
Throughout the weekend Wendy & Clare will be cooking and entertaining you.
Wendy will help you to understand the eating for health & wellness need not be boring, restrictive, and expensive.
The 11 beautifully appointed ensuite rooms and open plan lounge dining room with spectacular views across the Hope Valley, make it the perfect space to celebrate that special occasion. “Once we feel confident and have the knowledge and the ability to connect with how we feel, and understand that it’s the whole environment we bathe ourselves in that contributes to our health and wellbeing, we can make better choices that work for us. We are all unique and we need to find unique solutions.”
